dropped hitachi drive

i just recieved an external drive its a hitachi 120gig 2.5'' ide. the story is it was on when they dropped it. now i connect it to doctor it comes to ready but when i click load from hdd it gives error. it seems to be spinning but cannt seem to get anything... i had to diagnose this on site so couldnt risk opening the drive....

any ideas what to do?

Open outside clean room? Not good idea. Take it to lab and do a proper diag. I think at least head damage, can be media problem and also motor (excessive vibration ?)...

u said come ready, so that means reach DRDY DSC?, what its the answer to the read sector command, ? ABRT, IDNF, UNC, AMNF, ?
