Master Dimitry; Other masters

I have a 250GB HDD that its initial sectors (about 200MB) have been made
bad by mistake using MHDD.

My question is: Is there any way to UNDO the Sector Badder of the MHDD?

I need structured data (not RAW). The Hard drive itself is not important.

Thank you

Read long? I don't know if makebad writes to the whole sector or just to the ECC data...

Don't know either but try force read of a sample sector and check ECC data and data itself. Maybe Dmitry can be more helpful, send him a PM.

Hi BlackST
Thank you for the reply.

Tried "read ignoring ECC" option of PC3K. result is zero filled sectors.

Ouch!! Then sector data is unavailable... You have to rebuild the directory structure from scratch, I think...
