Could someone show me some application for data recovery that can make a good read on WD drives.
I use testdisk, but it tells only half the capacity of HD.
not inform the partitions.
Is there any application pra fix this, or me to get access to some of the data.

Hi,

If you not faced with HPA or LBA32 bit limitation, then you have SA problem.
In this case you will need some special SW/HW complex to solve the problem, wich is much more expesive then paying for a local recovery service....

You can check HPA with MHDD.

This is true.
The size what you see, is only fake if the drive ID have the alias only....

Your drive is recognised as "SCORPIO" that is the factory alias. To cut a long story short : when the drive is experiencing SERIOUS problems it identifies himself not like WDCxxxxx and with correct capacity but with ROM MODEL yyyyy where yyyyy is the alias, in your case SCORPIO (2,5" family). NO SOFTWARE CAN ACCESS DATA IN THIS CONDITION AND CAN REVIVE YOUR DRIVE, NEED TO USE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND ACCESS YOUR DATA.
