Hitachi Travelstar 2.5" 60GB dead - needs help

October 21st, 2009, 23:11

I have a 60GB Travelstar from a Dell laptop (HTS541060G9AT00) - APR 2006. Makes a couple of loud clicks/thuds at power on. User really needs to recover the files.

What are the best options for repair/recovery? I don't want to attempt a donor transplant - data is important enough to spend the $$ on recovery.

Thanks
Aloha

It's not DIY case. Need proper diagnose and equipment. Refer to nearest pro.

Can you recommend a pro? Or send me PM please. Nobody near me - we are in Hawaii.
