:D Hello everyone, am new to the Forum, a greeting in particular administrators.
I have a problem with a Western Digital HD ..
HD was mounted on an external drive NAS Network ext3 partitions.
Suddenly they were no longer recognized. :?
Dismounted and mounted on external USB under WinXP partition mounted utility reading EXT recognize the content but could not copy the files. :shock:
Try different recovery utility under Windows recognizes all but stopped during recovery.
Created recovery disks boot linux livecd. :idea:
Hd connected directly on the mainboard, start your PC, HD recognized by BIOS but SMART bad FAIL ... Press F1 to continue ... :cry:
Ignore errors continuously livecd boot disk "SimplyMEPIS-CD_7.9.96-rc3_32. :?:
The system boots, recognizes HD ... After completing the boot disk drive open question correctly by reading the content, I continue making a copy and paste to other units empty.
Start the copy but after a few minutes the whole system crashes. :x
Off and then turn on your PC, it gives me more mistakes SMART but I say "primary master hard disk error" press F1 to continue ... :evil:
Continuous boot, this time the system at startup no longer able to mount the disk read errors and initialization. :cry:
From here on, the disc is identified and recognized as hardware, but is no longer recognized any partition or another. :cry:
Please try again with the recovery software used previously had a scan not recognize multiple files or folders that first identified. :cry:
Tested with various programs and utilities are no results from initialization errors and other ...
What do I do? 'm Damn Management S.M.A.R.T. What has done?
How do I recover the data?
How do I reset it, and as if hd was locked access write / read ...
or tried everything ... I have to replace the electronic board to be able to get results?

Hello,

Your drive have head/media problem, and now, when you was playing the SA is damaged inside the platters.
At this point there is nothing what you can do.
The data is only recoverable at professional lab.
You can make things only worse and make the recovery cost up to 2x 3x.

If your data is important, seek for professional help.

Sostituire l'elettronica non serve e in qualche caso porta solo a altri danni.
Bisogna capire esattamente cosa sta succedendo nel disco, per cui va fatta una diagnosi. Se interessato, lascia PM. Saluti.

Change PCB doesn't work, and sometimes it can lead to other failure. A precise diagnose is necessary. If interested drop me a PM. Regards.
