Seagate 7200.11 320GB HDD cloning problem

October 21st, 2009, 0:44

Hi have a Seagate 7200.11 320GB HDD. Cloning with DE. Clone started out fine. Sector 236000000 was good. AFter this till the end of the drive all sectors are black. The first sectors of the drive were all green when cloning this drive. Has anyone else ever had this problem and is there a way to fix this or find the data on the end of this drive. Ending sector on this drive is 66200000. Thanks for any suggestions how to clone these black sectors. I have tried different setting on the DE and still I receive a black sector an can not get data from them.

If you issue the V4 command on the T-level, what do you get ?
If the sector from where it goes wrong is listed as the first one (minus 1) in the V4 list, then you've got a translator problem.

Thanks Dobre the V4 helped to isolate this problem and now it is fixed and cloning again and getting all data from this drive.
