Hello. I have this HDD => Western Digital WD400 Scorpio Mini IDE (for notebooks). I'm using it with a usb-carry. I'm not using it for work purposes, but to carry my music, movies, pictures, etc from one pc to another. Recently I discovered some of the files got corrupted. I decided to give the HDD a nice and clean format. First I used the simple "format" option under windows xp right-click menu. It was useless. So, I decided to get more serious into saving the disc, because, I repeat, I don't have important data to recover, but I use it a lot to carry my stuff. So I got HDDRegenerator, scanned every sector several times, and everything seems to be fine. No bad sectors at all. But, in one of those scans, i think there was data on the disc, and I got some "delayed" sectors. Well, I got the Hiren's boot cd, and tested most of the tools, and one of those tools (sorry, can't remember the name) reported "Raw Read Errors" I'm getting out of ideas, so now i downloaded the low-end format tool, to give a low end format, and try again.
The question is simple: Can I repair the disc to use it? I don't have enough memory to buy another one... Thanks!
