Hi, I need help on my HDD.
It happened when i got a "classified virus". I scanned it with kaspersky and it worked. Now the problem is it doesn't boot anymore and it keeps restarting from post, and i did some repair from the my installer cd and do the fixboot, chkdsk, and fixmbr but unfortunately it didn't work. I also tried the disk to other computer with same board but nothing happened, it can bee seen as slave also. So can you please help with these?

Thanks.

Hi,

if your data is not important, than use MHDD, and de-activate the MBR.
Than boot up to windows, re-initialize the disk, and format it.

If your data is important, the best suggestion is, try to find a pro near you.
This case can't be too expensive, i think.

I can imagine only one easy step, what you can try before sending to pro:
Try to mount readonly mode under linux....
