I saw this text below, in a site of a renowned company data recovery, after the robotic tool is be is myth or reality?

Not reveal the name of the company by ethics.

"The damage to the surface of the platters in hard drives are the most difficult to repair because they require support robotic precision, which only three laboratories in our group have at the moment, so we can offer this benefit to our customers and other laboratories. This type of work consists of replacing the surface of the dishes when it is damaged by friction from dust, particulate matter, wear and spare parts that touch the plates when running at high speeds. The most common cause is the friction of the head or "arms" of these, as well as the engine revs change that cause heating within the disk. No doubt the service is expensive, but it is a solution. Without this support robot does not manage to make copies of the damaged surface of the dishes and play them to others without the bumps and scratches, thereby revitalizing discs useless on functional to retire and return valuable information to owners. This is advanced technology able to copy the surface of a plate of the defective disk with the data and play a functional. The replacement of parts within the disk sets a common framework for the other laboratories, so the return on your disk recovery may be associated with the inability of the laboratory did not have this advanced equipment."

Sounds like a work of fiction to me . . . also the grammar is very poor and ambiguous. Maybe on purpose . . .

It's called an Electron Microscope.

If you want to know more look up Spin Stand Microscopy... lots of math involved and lots of dough too.
You don't need to condition anything or fill in any scratches... and such.. the way he describes it, makes it sound fake...
He probably read about SSM and is making up his own imaginary toy...

Everyone knows the restarted Technology of hard drives (these days) rely on Servo info... if you got a cut-in Donut and fill it in with epoxy (or whatever) you're not going to repair the missing Servo info... unless of course the servo tracks are on a dedicated platter side in perfect condition (e.g. Video Storage Hard Drives, etc.)

The Pam jokes are refreshing
