Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi
I have a WD external USB HD drive, which worked fine on my Mac, but when I tried to connect it to my Windows 7 machine it didn't work. So what I did was to go to Computer Management - Disk Management and saw that it was all unallocated space (or so Windows said). I created a volume, RAW, without formatting, on the entire space and now I can't read it on my Mac either.
Is there any way I can get my data back?

Windows can't see HFS+ or GFI partitions, but Mac can see FAT32 or NTFS (but cannot write to NTFS).
A this point you need to buy a Mac data recovery program like Data Rescue Mac, and copy recovered data to a different HD.
