I use other way to access MC (correct name for the "SA" , "SERVICE TRACKS" etc.) ...
1) you need CORRECT content (modules)
2) MC must be OK (no errors).
To have 1) composite reading may help, also it depends on which modules are involved (some are unrelevant if corrupted or unreadable).
2) if the error is related to CRC, rewriting the sector will fix it. If the problem is physical, then something else is needed. It is risky to do it on patient drive.
Maybe you have to do something smart like prepare an identical drive and... ehm ehm.... you know...
