Seagate HDD strange sounds

November 15th, 2009, 10:39

Hi guys, the hd is a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 IDE 320Gb, it's no more found in BIOS and takes some sounds as described here: http://datacent.com/hard_drive_sounds.php (the second one: "Seagate desktop drive with bad heads slowly clicks and beeps on spin up."). Something could be done with the PC-3000 windows PCI card? Do you think it's possible to recover the data? Thanks...

No amount of software will fix broken heads, it needs cleanroom work to exchange those bad heads.
