TOSHIBA 2.5" IDE HDD not more recognized

November 17th, 2009, 13:29

Hi, my Toshiba 2.5" IDE 30gb HDD not works more in my Acer old notebook.
But on it, I have importants files to save.
I have tried to attach it externally to another notebook with a IDE/USB cable, it is recognized for few second but after, in computer resource, it isn't listed. It isn't recognized.
This Hdd is IDE model, not SATA.
So, can you suggest me a way to fix this problem?
There is a technic metod (like to fix a Seagate Barracuda 7200 Hdd) to read IDE Hdd in another way? for exemple trought a pc serial port connecting TX and RX in another way?
Many thanks.
Fabio (Italy)....sorry for my bad english :(
