Atola Imager vs. DeepSpar????

December 3rd, 2009, 22:33

Yesterday after scrimping and saving for some time, I finally was able to order a DeepSpar Imager. I have a small computer repair business and I hope this will increase my ability for simple data recovery that doesn't involve hardware malfunctions.

However, i just noticed that Atola has an Imager only version of their product that is about half the price of the DeepSpar and is upgradeable to the full version of Insight later on.

Did I make a mistake buying the DeepSpar instead of the Atola unit??

Deepspar is a great product and will easily pay for itself......in the right hands. It's not a miracle cure. Used in the appropriate way, it is very good at imaging disks. I certainly wouldn't describe your purchase as a mistake.

I've no direct experience with Atola, but I'm sure it's equally as good.
