HDD Hitachi 320 , 16 cache DEAD need advice pls

im not very expirineced with HDDs but i have knowlidge in Computers , i work in service .
Now my HDD on private PC is dead becouse of faulty power supply (low voltages 12 - 11.4 / 5 - 4.5 )
and now i changed my PSU and my HDD now wont spin up i hear only 2 sounds like low and high tones ,its like it want to start but cant...

what can be ? the spindel , the controller ? and the worst problem is that my HDD not have label with info on it i dont know exact model and firmware :(

im thinking of buyng new HDD same as this but i dont know firmware and model i think there is only 1 model 320 GB 16 cache SATA2 7200 made within 2 years 2007 or 2006 im not sure.

Hi,

posting here pictures of the drive (PCB and cover side) could help identifying the drive.
Also if u could record the sound and upload somewhere....
However i have a feeling it will be spindle related.

also i wrote a name that is detected by bios (it is not real name i think it is firmware version ) = V54ND73A , and before it there is a "SPACE"

It sounds like a siezed spindle.
Look for a pro in your area.

That's a Hitachi VLA380, and I can think of the following 3 causes:
1. the spindle is seized 80%,
2. Heads stuck onto the surface 15%,
3. Burnt motor winding 4%,
4. Driver circuit problem 1%

no user servicable damage... U need pro help

spindel is siezed what this mean ? motor is broken ? or stuck?

i mesured voltages in 4 fazes to ground , first 3 from left to right are 7-8v ~ and 4th is 9-10v~ what this mean ? isn't it the controller problem ?

You can't solve this, you can do only more problems.
If you need your data, seek for professional help.

fluid bearing of the motor is stuck? then what can be done ? profesional technictian can change this ball bearing and it will work again ? and my data will be safe?

Pro can do special* platter swap to another HDA and read out your data.

*the platters should move together, because a little (some micron) move from each other or from center will eliminate the recovery.

The drive will never be good for use only can survive one complete reading process.
