Very strange to see a 2.5 HDD with a xyz serial number error code on it. I have fixed 3.5 with xyz problems before but this one is not the same. Tried using same technique to fix it with pcb swap and modules rewrite to patient drive. This does not work at all on this one. What do you think maybe swapped PCB boards on this and not native PCB board or head problems? Anyone see this problem before? Any thoughts on this one. Thanks

When you rewrite modules, do they verify ok?
Also, I have noticed sometimes they will verify immediately after write, but if you power off the drive, repower and check again now they do not verify anymore o_0.
My guess if this is the case is probably failing sector in SA where those modules lie.

I found an old post from 2007 here that drive is in safe mode and gave some suggestions on this one. Today I try this and let you know. But this one is not same as older model problem with XYZ. Have a few ideas on a couple of things to try today on this one. Thanks
