hi,

this is my first post in this forum. i have a barracuda 7200.7, 80gb ide hard disk. the problem started after installing this hard disk in a new cpu, at first it wasn't coming up when i connected the ide cable to both this hard disk and the dvd drive, after a few tries it completely stopped, now whenever i start the computer, this hard disk makes a clanking noise and slows down the boot up and it never comes up in windows. please help me.

thank you

Almost certainly physical head problems. If you need data then seek pro advice, if not then bin the drive. Simples
