two of the best software to create disk images are Pro Tools and Copyr, as they have the option to do so, from back to front, windows based software that has this option and is as effective as the previous ones? thanks

Hola!
Bearing in mind the limitations of running recovery software in Windows instead of Dos these two free applications are worth looking at........
Dmde might be comparable with Media Tools but Dmde has many more functions. http://softdm.com/

Also I sometimes use Roadkills Rawcopy which is very basic and might be comparable to Copyr.dma when used without the power adapter. http://www.roadkil.net/program.php?ProgramID=22
