Hello: I have a Toshiba HD out of an Acer laptop that I would like to use as a spare HD...I have attached two pictures; one of the drive label and the other of the connector end of the drive...I know there are cables that can be purchased to connect the drive to, say, a USB connection...Can someone kindly look at the images attached and suggest what I might need? I really appreciate it!

If you want to use it as usb buy an enclosure ($15) Other wise a sata cable and power cable will connect it to your main board. Search for usb hard drive enclosure.

Could you recommend a good place to purchase such a cable/enclosure? So, I assume it is a SATA drive? (Can you tell I am new at this?) Does the cabhle come all in one or is the sata cable and power cable two different units? Thanks for the help!

Any computer store in your area sells them. Just go there and find a usb enclosure and make sure on the box it is marked SATA not IDE now they are selling combo ones that work with either SATA or IDE. This should be really simple to find in any computer store in your area. I know even your local Targets, Wallmarts and places like this sell them too. If you have a Frys in your area go there.
