Hello 1 TB drive is not recognized in BIOS.

Drive seems to be calibrating correctly.

Have anybody advice?

Yes, if data is important, send it to a data recovery company who can evaluate with presicion what's wrong.

Any more details available? Do you have any tools, free or pro?

If you listen carefully can you hear a very feint ticking?

Have you tried (or can you try?) starting the drive in Kernel mode with a loader?

How long have you left it powered on? I have had one or two of these that hanged for nearly 3 mins before becoming ready.

I've got a 10EAVS that appears to have a similar problem.

Using PC3K, it shows BSY for about 30 seconds, then gives an error and ABR. The BSY light goes out when the error lights up.

Like ddd123, cannot access SA and the drive sounds normal, i.e. no unusual noises that I can hear.

Any suggestions what else to try before I outsource this thing?
