ST9250315ASG Adaptive Info on PCB

August 7th, 2010, 17:18

It doesn't look like there is any type of external ROM, but does anyone know if the adaptive info for this drive is stored in the MCU? Just looking to swap PCBs here and I was just wanting to make sure that I'm not missing anything beforehand.

Thanks guys

There should be an external ROM on this drive, can you post a picture please?

To put a big red circle around it for the OP

Alternatively you can look for the chip (probably Winbond) with 8 legs and model starting with a 25!

Found it, it is a Winbond 8 leg chip near the lower end of the PCB. Thanks guys!
