Hard drive is not detectable in bios.

It makes beeps.(it stoped once i unscrewed heads and moved them to resting position)

So i took it apart when the screw that holds heads in place underneath is loose or out heads will move a small amount but when I put it in place heads dont move anymore. Platters spin.

What would I have to replace in order to fix the problem? My guess is that circuit board is bad perhaps not giving enough power to the actuator ,maybe actuator itself or heads? Please advise data is not that valuable.

Too late without clean room and knowledge of how the drive works you are out of luck on this one. Sorry but you should of not opened it up in the first place and moved the heads on it. This causes damage to your drive and you say the head screw was lose. What gave you this idea on this one. You opened it now so go ahead and tinker with it the damage is already done.

There is no obvious damage on the platers from the heads. Head screw was loosen by me I wanted to see if loosening it would allow heads to move. Why cant I fix it? Based on the symptoms can you make a diagnose?
