WD My Passport Essential - Locked

Hello all,

i got this 1TB WD hard disk locked with password, well since this is not sata/ide hdd
where you can see the hdd model in victoria

is there any way to reset this password or remove it without using the Wipe Data
that comes with the WD?

I have done a lot of research and work with these, at this point you are done, there is no getting the data. If a Guru had a solution I would happily pay for it.
