Hi All,
I was traveling abroad with a free agent external enclosure with a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 drive inside and left the power chord at home. I went to a tech store and they connected the wrong powersupply to the drive and now it wont turn on. We tried connecting it to a desktop shell but the HDD won't spin or turn on now.
I was told I might be able to recover the data by swapping the PCB? If I buy another drive, can someone please tell me what absolutely has to match up in order for the swap to work?
Model: ST3320820AS
Firmware: 3.AFE
Productnumber (P/N): 9BJ13G-566
Datacode: 07382
Sitecode: TK
Mainchip on the PCB: 100404226
PCB number on the small sticker under the barcode: 100436209
I found a drive for sale online that matches the Model, Firmware, Sitecode and the first part of the P/N (9BJ13G). Can someone please let me know if this is good enough to work? Or a good source for replacement PCBs? Or if this will work at all?
Thank you in advance,
Alex
