I need some help in getting my hard drive to work again. I have a Western Digital Caviar SE hard drive and my logic card burnt up (a small pin hole in one of the ic's). I called WD and they said that they would have any spare parts for any of their hard drives and for me to take it to a data recovery location. I was told that it could cost anywhere from $200 to $2000 to recover. All I have on the drive is digital photos and music. Could anyone help me track down a logic card(I think that's what it is called. It'd the little pc on the drive unit). Here is all the information on the drives label:

S/N: WMANK3167977
LBA: 488397168
250.0 GB
CANADA ICES-003 Class B/ NMB-003 Classe B
WD2500JB
WD Caviar SE
MDL: WD2500JB - 22READ
DATE:04 JUN 2006
DCM: DSBANT2CA
PRODUCT OF MALAYSIA

On the Logic Card

2060-701292-001 REV A

You will need to transfer the 8-pin serial EEPROM chip at location U12 from patient to donor. This chip stores unique, drive specific information.

The following vendor charges US$70 for a board, including ROM transfer:
