Hello again!

I have a samsung HM250HI that was fall down after that windows dosen't recognise anything but only the device model on device manager and Unalocated Space (250gb) on administrative tools/computer managment/disk managment so i try GetDataBack but nothing... Also i use Active Partition Revery boot CD also nothing.... And the final option was R-Studio which is finaly work!! I connect the disk (external usb) and then i press start scan... After 17hours it was on 20% of scan and then computer made a restart (accidental). After that i reconect the disk but nowhere was recognised :( It spins but i can't hear the heads moving or something like that and after 10-15 seconds it stops to spin. I connect the disk direct to my SATA port on my pc nothing... I use eSATA case but also nothing... I also put it in my laptop (Dell studio 1557) and it freezes on bios boot.

What should i try to bring it to life again and continue recovery with R-Studio?

Thanks a lot.

I think after 17 hours of running a crashed drive you have to reassemble data from dust, most is in the filter...

It probably had some media damage after the fall, which would have bee a cheap pro fix.

But now you haved hammered it for 17 hours, you've probably DIY'd it to death :-(

It may be recoverable by a pro (much more $$ than before the hammering), but not by DIY I'm afraid.

i guess the process of 20% which he did was for scanning not for dumping the hdd image am afraid

i guess as my friends here agreed on
normal DIY will not help here, and might damage it more

u will need some special tools for ur case here
suggest again find Pro. DR company to help

bios flash will not help - no relation at all

First you need diagnose, then everything depends on media condition. Being cautious, if there is media damage it is sure 100 percent is not possible if the damage involve data area. Be sure the drive is analyzed by pros, not by... 'mala**s'

IIt will be "wasting of time" anyway. You may decide to pay somebody calling himself "pro" or "guru" for his wasted time. :(
