I accidentally put cable, that has SATA power connectors, to wrong slot to the modular PSU and my HDD and DVD writer burned when I turned power on.
Now HDD don't do nothing when I connect it to pc. No spinning sound or clicking or anything. I tried to switch another pcb from newer Seagate hdd (7200.12). HDD spinned, but not properly. Bios sometimes recognized hdd somehow, but never properly. I know now that changing wrong pcb could do more harm than good, but I hope that there are still some chances to get datas recovered.

What I should do now? I have considered changing the exactly samekind pcb to the hdd, but does it fix this situation? In HDD has some irreplaceable pictures which should be recovered.

(I am sorry for my bad English. I can read and understand well, but my writing is sometimes terrible)

Set your multimeter on the 200 ohms range and measure the resistances of the 5V and 12V TVS diodes. Also measure the resistances of the inductors, and the component identified with a question mark. There may be other suspects, but I can't make them out in the photo.

See http://www.users.on.net/~fzabkar/HDD/ST ... AS_TVS.jpg

To repair your drive, you will need to remove any shorted TVS diode, and replace any open inductor with a wire link or solder blob.

I will provide more details once you have performed the measurements.
