Question about data recovery technologys

December 30th, 2010, 19:49

Hello all,

I have doubt and I wonder if there is equipment that reads information directly from the platters of a hard drive. I mean that in a case where the read / write head is broken and we can not get a donor drive, has a equipment on which to platters the hard drive and read the data.

Thaks for your answer.

Short answer....NO

It is and will be a dream for a long time. Only one idea was exploited a lot of years ago, with limited succesful results as fair as I remember.
