Ok, so i've tryed but no results!
I've converted the hex to dec values and entered in mhdd with the dispwd command and 0 (user) option the values:
310000220000490000200000230000230000230000020000080
which correspond to:
1F 00 16 00 31 00 14 00 17 00 17 00 02 00 08310 000 220 000 490 000 200 000 230 000 230 000 002 000 008 I've also understand that the user password begins after the header:
01 07 00What am I doing wrong?
How should I input the values on mhdd? With spaces in between the 3 number group?
I heard about a trick with alt key how it's supposed to work?
HELP

In mhdd, you have to enter the password as ascii characters. You have to convert hex value to dec values on a byte basis so 0x1f is 31 and then press alt, type 31 on the keypad and then release the alt-key.Repeat that for every byte of the password. Unfortunately this won't work with dos programs because the byte 00 (and others) cannot be entered this way.

I've tryed the way you told me but no luck.
Every time I press alt I can't input values, why is that happen?

Is there any other way of doing it?
I really need this data, I can't afford to pay a professional service.
Help me out guys!

Doomer thank you but that's not the kind of solution I'm looking for...
It must be a way, there's always a way right?

I think that Doomer's suggestion is the cheapest way. If your data isn't worth that little, then move on.

Hello,
I have recuperated a western digital HDD from a televisionnetbox : WD3200AVJS and want to use it in a PC.
This HDD is protected by paswoord. You find the result of MHDD in the upper part of the file in attach.
There is no "01 07 00" but well "01 0f 00". Is the first user PW the 32 bold bytes after it ? Is the second one the next 32 underlined bytes array. Where is the master PW ? Does it end just before the 00 in front of the XXXX ? But where does it start ?
The second part of the file in attach is a image from another forum of hddguru. It has been said that the marked bytes are the master PW. You can find the same array of bytes in the upper part, but the similar array starts earlier as you can see.
With kind regards
