Hi,

The above HDD produces strange noise when power on (sounds like struggling to initialize) then stops after few seconds. It is listed in the Device Manager as "WD" but it's not present in the Disk Management console.

What could be wrong? Is there any chance recovering the data?

Thanks in advance for any input.
