Hi,

I need some advice from experienced gurus.
I've got HM500JI with heads stuck to platter. I've uploaded original photo as attachment, so You can observe the situation.
Unfortunately, I haven't got special and expensive tool for removing head arm from 2,5" Samsung.

I've tried carefully rotate the platter but seems to be stucked, so I didn't want to use force.
I removed the top magnet to have better control on head arm.

I found info in another topic, that some guys have success using percussive maintenance, but to be honest, I don't want to use this option, maybe You will have better suggestion how to fix this problem without using outsourcing.

Thanks in advance for advices and answers!
You can also PM me if needed!

I dont like reusing the same heads after releasing em from sticktion. It does not take much sag on the sliders to start shaving the platters. Counterclockwise motion on the spindle with 1 hand ( i have a little tool to do that ) + apply force to the heads in the direction of the parking ramp with the other. The amount of force u need to apply comes with experience ...If u are to timid all u do is stretch the little slider holders. I recovered countless sticktion drives this way , but i always change the heads after ( however there was a guy who had no money , so i released the sticktion for him and sent him home , he called and aparently managed to just copy all the files himself =)))
