Nice... but what do you do with this firmware?

I mean, how to load it?

Thank you, I'm newbie with this kind of drives.

As a matter of fact, on the label there is one item called DCM: HBCT2BNB
What does it stand for? Looks some kind of sub version, isn't it? Thank you for any clarification.

Cor

Hard drives don't work like that; you don't just "load" firmware

Generally, firmware copies are traded here to give pros a reference to use when repairing damaged firmware on other drives that have the same version

Ok I have what looks like a firmware issue.

The drive is not clicking. Spins up correctly.

After a while you hear the heads moving and (looks like) reading something, then some pause and then again (looks like) reading something. This repeats unfinished.

But it is not a head clicking.

Any idea? tip? what is the DCM: value in WD drives?

Does it makes sense to find the drive board?

Thank you

Cor

Could be lots of different things. You should send or take the drive to a pro for a diagnosis.
