i regret i ever did this from ubuntu. i used gparted disk manager to re-size my logical drive to create swap memory. but gparted was unable to do the job (i wonder why cuz easeus partition master does it so nicely) and ended up with an error. it did create the 2gb unallocated space but made the whole logical drive in-accessible. the error message i get when i try to access it says the volume of the disk says its smaller but the device itself is bigger and that it cannot read the last sectors. (volume = 266gb and device size = 268gb total = 320gb)
how can i re-allocate the unallocated space back to the drive?

please i need some sort of solution.

Why would you zero fill your HDD. Doing this one erasses all your data on it. That is a very bad move on this one. If you have this sort of problem first thing is to clone your HDD to another one and work with the clone then your data is safe. You can try other options in fixing your partition problems then. But zero filling your HDD and trying to make a new partition in it will destroy your data for sure and you have lost this one.
