The Notorious Seagate 7200.11

Can you see if you get the same results in another computer?

By the way did you have the 1TB hard disk connected to the computer when you reformated and installed windows? Its just that its not a good idea if you don't know what you are doing because os installs have the habit of installing boot loaders accross different hard disks depending on their boot priority in your BIOS.

Hi,

General rule: Don't trust in windoze!!!
You can safely destroy your data with it. :D

I have seen this a lot of times.
Your partition table and maybe FS gets corrupted.
If you want your data back, do a sector copy outside of windows, and try to get it from the copy with data recovery softwares.
If no luck, than get the original one into your hands, and ask a pro near you.

This is the best, what i can suggest.

Good luck
Janos

I use Data Extractor but its a professional tool worth thousands.

If you data is important I would recommend a pro. If your data is not important try reformatting it or download one of the many so called data recovery programs.

There is a good chance the windows boot loader has been installed to the wrong drive or it has decided to edit the file allocation table.

If you really need assistance just PM me, fellow Aussie.
