Maxtor STM3320418AS

Hello from Italy,
it's the first time that i write on this board, i want to thank all the tech guru that provided many useful information.
I have a Maxtor DiamondMax 23 STM3320418AS with the same behavior of the old seagate 7200.11 when they are not recognised by bios, pc does not boot and connected to another pc as secondary hd the boot is very slow. I repaired some seagate with RS232 interface and hyperterminal and i tried the same with Maxtor.
When i connected seagate, hyperterminal show on the screen F3 T> and then i did all the procedure.
When i connect Maxtor hyperterminal show a right arrow instead of F3 T> so i did not went on because i am not sure about the commands to give to hard drive.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion

Ferruccio
