Hi I am new here

wd my passport essential 500 gb / WD5000BMVV

my 2.5 "WD clacked hd and then no longer recognized by windows. Unfortunately, I thought it was stuck to the head and I opened the hd ... the heads were in the middle of the discs and I brought gently into retirement. the hd then screwed again and is connected to the pc ... the hd spins up, no noise of heads and the speed goes down ... hd not recognized

I tried the manual > http://hddrescue.wordpress.com/2011/06/12/wd5000bmvv-11gnws0/ < without success

which can be saved?

thank hamster

Those guy who wrote that , didn't show full truth how to connect sata, there is few nuances also, as usual.
Also, his drive wasn't encrypted becouse russian goverment didn't give permission hardware encrypting for WD external drives, your drive - will for sure. Sorry for bad news.

You can not simply an other wd mypassport essential 500 gb drink or try build my magnetic discs there?

Unfortunately recovery company very expensive and that is not for the data, there are 3 movies of my children and holidays... Unfortunately

First, and I can't beleave people do this, but you OPENED the hard drive and exposed the heads. Now your drive is completely messed up and it will probably cost you a barrel of money to have the data recovered, if the disks have not been damaged by moving the heads back and forth...

@Hamster

the links you post are no good. Both are not entirely accurate or specific to your case, and both require knowledge / experience to reach success.

Also, the encryption will be a problem for you.

You should get this professionally diagnosed to know exactly what options you have.

ShaneWard is right also, because you have opened many DR firms will not look at this without a diagnosis fee of some sort because additional tests/repairs may be requried, such as cleansing media, clearing any potential, contamination or HSA re-aligning for example
