I have 2 HDD, first one is 40gb and is like 8 years old, the second is 120 i think and may be 6 years old. My OS XP is on the first one. So the problems started when my computer start to work very slowly, for example it load XP long time, and when i try to open my computer, or to click on start menu the computer was like crashes for about minute and then some times work fast 3-4 seconds and than the all thing again. The second HDD is on 3 parts and i made system recovery for pictures on the one of them and then save them on the 3 part of the drive, and when i did this that drive with the saved pictures was unable for opening, says me that is not format long time and do i want to format it. After a few hours trying to fix my problems, one more part of this HDD stop to work and give me some error. The strange thing is that when the computer work before that better than now, when i opened some part of the drive like C:\ and if i write on the top D:\ it will be opened but if i click back and open it with the mouse it will crash again for 1 minute....
Please somebody help me with that, i started MHDD from boot CD but i don't know which commands to stat for this problems. Please somebody help me, because my english is not very good and i can't do a lot of by my own. Thank you.

I start to scan with MHDD but it was very slowly and i go to sleep, and on the morning the computer was restarted, and boot options was on, so i don't saw nothing from this scan. But i decide to try with another program from the HDD programs list, and start HDAT2 which scan and repair bad sectors, the program start pretty fast, but after about 1 minute, start to scan very slowly and now 5 MB was scaned for 2 days LOL ! Start to scan slow on 3.17 gb and no is 3.22 after 2 days ! The programs have some Errors in the menu W/V/W/V and some of them are with different colors,i have errors just for the second one "V" and they are 28000. Also down below i have 3 lines with "VERIFY" "WRITE" and "VERIFY" again, but on the first one stay this message from the beginning of the program "uncorrectable CRC or ECC error on read", the other 2 are O.K.. And now i don't know what to do with my HDD's, probably the HDD's have bad sectors and for that reason even this programs can scan it or i don't know, but can somebody tell me what to do, and the most important how to take my information from them, if they die at all...

If the data is important, stop powering them on. They are in bad shape obviously and anymore scanning or whatever will make then worse and worse and more expensive and more expensive to recover.

Recommend you seek professional data recovery service. Just make sure they know what they are doing.
