I can see the partition and folder structure on the root in data extractor, but it takes about 10mins to come up because it's still busy and in a constant cycle of trying to read that module/s (or whatever it is doing). The fact that the drive inits and I can view folder structure gives me hope.

do u get a lot of software/hardware reset while viewing folders in DE?

Yes, I do. When I attempt to work with the folders it goes BSY but does eventually after a few minutes, respond. So if I try and expand a folder in DE, it goes BSY, I wait about 5mins, then the folder expands and I can see contents. When I tried to copy a selected folder to an external drive it gave lots of software/hardware resets.

Update on this, the problem has been resolved.

It was a firmware issue. Had to use the antipending solution, used a LDR. Am now getting access to data at normal speed and imaging to another drive.

i think u can also image these drives in DDI with the option of initialize read on. A bit slow though...
