Hi HDD experts!

Does any one know how to see in PC3000 only with the PCB of WD1600BEVT-60ZCT1 the information off the HDD that match?
To see if the PCB was changed? Like model, Serial number from HDD that belongs?
The heads are damaged and i suspect that the PCB with ROM belongs to another HDD.
I know that in Seagate we acess T> and Crtl+L and we have the information off HDD that the PCB belongs.

If any one knows i was apreciated.

Compare the date codes on the chips against the date code on the label (or elsewhere).

If you need help identifying the date codes, upload a clear view of the chip markings.

Call WD's tech support and ask for Tier 2 support.

They can tell you if a particular PCB is the one that originally came with the drive.

fzabkar the data code of the PCB is WDC C 2004?
In the drive the date is 15 OCT 2005.
That means that the PCB doesn't match.

I'm i correct?

Examine the chips on the PCB. They will have a YWW or YYWW (Year / Week) date code marking. For example, a code of 0543 indicates that the IC was manufactured in week 43 of 2005.

I believe there may also be a WWYY date code marked on the PCB in white.

If you need help, upload a detailed photo or scan of the component side of the PCB.
