Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi guys
I have a Samsung 2.5'' drive with the following behaviour: spin up, recalibrate (or at least starts to) and right after that spin down (BSY on interface)...The story is, that it was an external drive, user try to burn to a CD some pictures from it on a laptop, the optical drive of the laptop give some errors when burning, so he try to move the external drive from laptop to desktop. When plug in desktop the drive is not recognized anymore, he tryied to plug it in laptop, same story , not recognized. He swears that it was neved dropped, shocked in any way...Just between pull out from laptop and plug in to desktop something happened.
So, I take a look, found stiction, opened the drive and unstuck the heads and power on....On power on give this behaviour.
After soft reset drive ID's ok,can recalibrate (motor spins up) but every try to access a sector in SA or user area ends with spin down....No clicks no nothing.....And of course BSY on interface.
Here is the power on terminal log:

FFS's working

What the hell is LED 56?...I tryied to find it in all documents I have but no luck...LED 55 and 57 exists but no LED 56...When I try to access a sector everywhere it spins down and gives again LED 56 in terminal.
Any tips or sugestions are very appreciated..even in PM.
Thanks

Unfortunately for you guys, and for me of course, this is not true....I have found a donor, not exact model match, a HM161JJ but it has 4 heads(same like patient) and same firmware..Exchanged heads and patient it's behaving the same , spin up, try to recalibrate and spin down, same LED56 in terminal. Put patient heads in donor just to check they are ok and ,of course, the donor works ok without any problem.....I was thinking that there is a scratch in SA but if it was it should kill the heads in a short time.....witch did'nt happened....
With new heads on patient I have tryed to access SA but every atempt to read FIT(or any other module) ends with a spin down and LED 56 in terminal....So now I'm at a dead end...
Anyone with some other tips/ideas?....Any help is welcomed...
Thanks
