Seagate Momentus 750GB Recovery

March 4th, 2012, 1:10

Seagate Momentus 750GB
FW: 0002SDM1

Disk used to have bad sectors, and quickly deteriorated into not being able to detect. Spins up with a slight scratching noise then spins normally. Comes up in Disk Management as "Not Initialized" but however it's not being detected at all in Windows nor BIOS.

I have Hyper Terminal on hand. Can I do something or do I need PC 3000?

Hi,

If you have Hyperterminal, please paste here the log, that might not be much on your case.

One thing I don't understand, you said it comes up on disk management. What do you mean by disk management? Because after you said it's not detected in windows or bios.

Sounds more like a scratch than bad sectors. Now it might be gone forever.
