I try to update firmware ti segate ST3250310CS (not accepted by the BIOS Machine).
In hyperterminal I use DKU-5 Cable (made in china). I test the RX and TX. work perfectly.
When I do clt+z in hyperterminal, the answer is "F>" !!! not "F3>". How I can access to level 3?
How I can repare my HDD to be accepted by the BIOS?

Send the drive to someone who know what to do. If the drive goes to F> means a serious problem OR you played with random commands and now part of the firmware is destroyed - just guessing. There are commands of a single letter that kill INSTANTLY a drive.

Do you see any message in HyperTerminal immediately after powering up the drive?

AIUI, your drive has the same architecture as the 7200.10 Barracuda. Hence you may like to read the following article:

BTW, I'm not a data recovery professional, so I would advise you not to Erase the G-List or Initialize SMART unless one of the professionals instructs you to do so.

Why do you expect "F3" ? Where do you get this information? They even use differnet baud rate so your config is set up at (probably) 9600 and not 38400 meaning even if it was F3 you would not get the prompt you expect.

BlackST is right in saying that F> usually means some serious problem. Also I am willing to bet the problem is now worse depending on exactly what you have done.

Some things I will never understand. I cant repair a broken car engine, so I dont try. Simple. Why does everyone insist on Do it yourself options? Even when there are serious risks, which are discussed many many times here?

Your only option is a professional. "F>" is not the problem, it is a symptom of a potentially serious fault. To identify exactly what the problem is you need the correct equipment, knowledge and experience, all of which I am safely asuming you do not have.

What does it mean? What must do? it's a 500Gb hdd, but in the bios it show 3Gb only. PLZ help

PLZ , if you want to do data recovery for a living (earn money) especially on drives that contain IMPORTANT DATA , FIRST you must know what to do, have the necessary tools and all this IS NOT FOR FREE . Otherwise you are only wasting time and damaging drives / data. So said, this drive has serious problems too and you can't do much with a CA-42 and hyperterminal. Most probably it had mechanical problems in the beginning, now a precise diagnose is needed. I have the feeling it is a drive that suffered from mechanical shock but can't tell without seeing the drive.
