Hi,

probably there is no copy of the MBR. I have only found copy in the beginning of Netware partitions, I suppose this is not your case, is it?
BTW it is not a big deal to rebuild it if U have a disk editor.
U have to be familiar with partition entries and MBR structure however, this can be found on the web.
U have to search for partitions (boot sectors) on the drive.
They are easier to find if U know the aproximate size of the perceeding partitions.
the first one probably starts at sector 63. In that boot sector U can find the number of sectors in the first partition. From this U can add a partition entry into the MBR, and U can also calculate the probable starting sector of the next partition, and so on.

regards,
pepe

Ok pepe... than

this thing is very bad... I also lost informatioan in sector 63.. but I can rebuiilt sector 63 using its copy in 69...
thanks I think I must to calculate this partition and rebuilt MBR manualy..
cause there is no copy for MBR.. OK

Hmmm.. why MBR have no copy.. But BR have Copy .....
I think this is the bad news for anybado that want to rebuilt MBR without knowing the structure of partition table.....

Just learn is the only way..

Thanks

Hy u need to search in all u your hard disk the header, for MBR copy, or not copy, or was shifted, i was found some problems when the hard disk shutdown, and inone of my case the Boot record was changed with user data, and The Boot sector was set to the last sectors of the hard Disk, this u can found searching for Boot signature, u can use the same Search for the boot signature, for the MBR.

Hi Prodata, you can use Disk Editor from NU2000 or MBR Tool from HIREN BOOT CD to correct it.

But if you want to find your data back, do not LLF your HDD more than 5 times.

Just detect the drive in BIOS first, then use Victoria Software to recovery your data.

Regard,
Along.
