Sir ,
Have You Seen These Drive with Label Or without Label ?

Always seeing those drives (and others) with label. Never saw drives without label except opened drives.

Even if the HDD is open it is not necessary to remove the entire label. Never seen one with label completely removed. Seens strange it does not come with a label at all

Agree. It is enough to locate the position of the hidden screws to open the top lid.

Not only has the label been removed, you can still see the glue residue where the silver circular stickers were over the screw holes.
He is lying.

I agree with pcimage. You are not getting the truth.
You can still recover the data without the top label. It's a bit more difficult, but it's no big deal.

If you've watched the TV series 'House' you'll remember he likes to say "everybody lies".
I say "every customer lies" after the amount of "I promise I didn't drop the drive" stories I get spun...

Yep, sad but true.
A long time ago I used to believe what clients told me, but nowadays it's much more like assuming they ARE lying

Not all of course, we can usually tell the genuine guys. But peeled labels, screws missing and dents on the lid/chassis edge are dead giveaways!!
