Hello Data Recover Engineers,

I have a Seagate ST9500325AS, 5400.6 that i realise that its not a heads problem. Despite the original heads make a litle noise in the begining before became ready its stops. I saw the Head pattern in microscope and the 4 of them were clean.
Although i change the heads for another compatibles with the same head pattern, the problema remain the same.
When i connected in PC3000 we give me the following log:

Rst 0x08M
RW cmd 0002 req = 5F 49 00 00 18 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 99 AA 09 00 FF FF 17 00 99 AA 09 00
opts = 00001121

RW Err = 43110081

opts = 00001121

RW Err = C3160084

RW cmd 0002 req = 40 55 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 9A 05 00 FF 9E 05 00 00 9A 05 00
opts = 00001121

RW Err = 43110081

RW cmd 0002 req = 41 55 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 9A 05 00 FF 9E 05 00 80 9A 05 00
opts = 00001121

RW Err = 43110081

He became ready, read the parameters of the drive but the capacity=0 with the Translation Violation FW problem. I run the solution but he can't errase the SMART. I do it manualy but without sucess.
I think that the area where is allocated the SMART Module is damaged our have a bad sector.

My question is... there is a SMART copy in other zone? our there is another method of deleting the SMART?
If any one knows a solution for this problem i apreciate very much a reply.

Thanks for your time.
Best regards,

Recently I found a similar case with similar log with same make and model. Customer told, the drive stopped working due to FALL from table.

Physical damage / mechanical.

You have to check and find a workaround but be prepared to bad news.
