I want to know how gurus peform data recovery so that I can learn something. This is to safeguard customers precious data and not to lose it because of ignorant experimentation

assume disk has weakheads or smart issue /Reallocated sector count high /large nad sectors
procedure I follow
> clean pcb contacts
> take firmware backup in udma (I do not choose selected important modules which makes process very slow)
> start DE
> create headmap
> mft map /mft scan
> copy data folders or image drive

this is a rude method and outcome is very poor

please guide me what steps should be added or where I am making mistake
I feel guru must be analysing firmware modules manually repairing if necessary
analyse zone tables , do smart clear ( I have not done clear smart fearing data loss) and would like to know
impact of clear smart on seagate classic /F3 and other make of drives

then guru make work on g-list and translator before going for de.
Will appreciate importance of following in professional work
should I clear smart
recover /regernerate translator
add glist to plist
any other important step
pls.guide me
thank you
