Hi there,
I've got a problem with a 2.5" Samsung HDD HM321HI for Laptops.
The BIOS couldn't regognize the disk and there is "no operating system found" on the screen.
I connected the disk at a external adapter and heard some strange sounds, for me not a typical headcrash or sth. I heard before.
Here, you can hear what I mean:

thanks

Thank you for your reply. Are there any possibilities for a non professional to fix the problem in DIY ?
My read is no if I see some other cases with stiction?

Ann is right. These drives are f****rs. If you truly care about the data, then you have to send it to a pro.
IF you don't really care about the data, then searching in this forum will lead you to some other "advices" and some "success stories". Strangely enough, these success stories all came up the same time, and then the success ratio dropped rapidly.
Anyways, whatever you choose, good luck.
