 Post subject: LTO2 Tape Recovery

Good Day,
Guru's i need your Help To Recover Tape LTO2 200GB Client was using HP Data Protector, OmniBack 5.1 below is the things which i have tried so Far,

1)Nuclear Kernel Tape Recovery software it Create Image (186GB)but Scan Results is Empty.
2)i Scan image in R-studio got some files around 2GB in RAW format like .doc,.xls,.pst etc files are working but just 2GB.
3)Tried with winhex same results few files only.

any comments are highly appreciated Thanks in Advance............

Was the data compressed? Usually is.

If it is compressed, you will need to use the same software that created it to decompress it when you stream it out...otherwise, you just have a compressed image that is useless.

HP Data Protector can be a serious pain, frankly. We do a lot of LTO stuff, but I frankly don't know how I'd get started with this.
