i have got APR2009 (customer) with pcb demaged, i can not read nvram.
i found a donor (FEB-2009) but pcb looks different and there is also U7 chip ( that in patient is missing not becouse was removed)
i am not sure it is a compatible pcb..

Normally you match the numbers on the sticker of the PCB to get a good match and not the date on the label.

Did you understand what I wrote. On your PCB is a white label you need to match this label to get a good match for your PCB.

it's not a matter of understanding that there is a label with a number, it's that some models of pcb even if have different number are perfectly compatible.

thanx anyway.. pcb was faulty becouse spindle motor was blocked,heads were sticking on the platters, probably for a suddenly power off of the external box power supplier.And customer left hdd powered for too much time later on leading the pcb faulty.

So stiction + pcb. Careful with these, esp. if the drive has sustained such violent behaviour, heads could be damaged too.

Not that I tried this, but I think most likely the ROM versions will be different between those PCBs.
But you can experiment and see what happens, right?
