I sketch my problem as short as possible:

1. Using bitlocker to encrypt an external harddrive of 500GB with a password, NTFS (At the beginning you have to choose a password, AND you have to save a RecoveryPassword.txt file to the notebook's harddrive). Process interrupted at the very beginning because of a power shutdown in my house. You can repair this with the command line: repair -bde.
2. Reproduce the problem on a small memory stick to not make the problem on my big harddrive bigger. I used the repair -bde command BUT this proces has overwritten the partition where my RecoveryPassword was located to fix the big external harddrive. This partition was originally 365GB NTFS, now it is overwritten by the memory stick, i.e.: 4GB Fat32
3. I converted the partition back to NTFS and got the total capacity of 365GB back.
4. I am trying different data recovery software to get the files back on this partition because I need the RecoveryPassword.txt file te recover my external harddrive.

Now the problem is that the programs I am using are finding a lot of files back like pictures, movies, Microsoft Office documents, pdfs, etc. but I have not found a program yet that finds files with the .txt extention,... The file I am looking for is saved as a .txt file, and the code method is "Unicode".

So who knows data recovery software that also can recover .txt files? It does not need to be freeware.
